Turkey Flat Rosé 2022

Description

Last Stocks | 94 Points – James Halliday

Turkey Flat has long been considered a benchmark Australia’s Rosé and its popularity continues to grow. The 2022 vintage marks the 29th vintage of this sensational Barossa Rosé.

Produced from high quality Grenache grapes grown in the Barossa, the 2022 Turkey Flat Rosé is another beautifully fragrant wine with rose petal and spice aromas followed by juicy strawberry fruit flavours that linger on the palate. Another benchmark example of Rosé that offers plenty of joy over the warmer months.

“94 Points. Pale salmon pink. Grenache leads mataro by the nose (pun regretted) in what is one of Australia’s best rosés, year in, year out. It’s dry, but has spice and red berry fruits to spare, and won’t be found lacking wherever and whenever you choose to enjoy it. $25. 12.5% alc. Drink by: 2023. Screwcap”- James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au.

“A classic wine, at least to my way of thinking. Raspberry frogs, musk, a subtle earthiness, spice dusted strawberry. It’s spicy and peppery in texture for sure, fresh and clean acidity, a blood orange tang, with a red fruit and dusty finish of good length. Lovely peppery and succulent rosé with a pleasingly earthy feel, likely due to the Mataro component. A little different from prior years, but still top shelf. Yes. 93 Points. Tasted: Jul22 12.5% alc. $25 Screwcap Drink: 2022 – 2025″- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
